About the event

Pre-requisite: Clinicians must have completed Basic EMDR Training to register  

Description: This training will help clinicians explore a variety of creative ways to engage children in phase 1 and 2 of EMDR therapy. Participants will learn creative ways to help children identify target problems in phase 1. Participants will also be presented with an array of creative ideas to introduce child friendly explanations of EMDR, child friendly bilateral stimulation and coping strategies.  

Learning Objectives : 

  • Describe different approaches to engaging children in treatment planning phase 
  • Explain EMDR with child friendly language and age appropriate adaptations 
  • Describe a variety of child friendly bilateral stimulation and adaptations  

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced  

Who Should Attend: Social Workers, Psychologists, Counselors , Marriage & Family Therapists, Other Mental Health Professionals 

Approved for 2 EMDRIA & CEs
