Children deserve a safe, supportive space where they can feel understood and empowered to heal. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and teens experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, autism, and other challenges that can impact their sense of safety and confidence.
My approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and developmentally responsive. When working with children, I incorporate EMDR in ways that are appropriate for their age, developmental level, communication style, and individual needs. I may also integrate play therapy, expressive arts, CBT, and body-based strategies to help children process difficult experiences while building emotional awareness and regulation skills.
I understand that children often communicate through play, behavior, and creativity before they have the words to explain what they are experiencing. My goal is to create a relationship where children feel safe enough to be themselves, explore their experiences at their own pace, and develop tools that support healing both in and outside of therapy.
I also partner closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing that meaningful change often happens when the adults surrounding a child feel supported and equipped, too.
